Ilish Machher Jhol/Hilsa Fish with Brinjal Potatoes || Scroll Recipe ||
Ingredients
1. Ilish Machh or Hilsa (4-5 pieces)
2. Brinjal or Egg Plant diced
3. Potatoes peeled and diced
4. Fresh Green Chilies
5. Turmeric Powder (1/2 tspn)
6. Red chili Powder (1/2 tspn)
7. Cumin powder 1 TSP
7. Oil
8. Kalo Jeerey or Black Nigella Seeds (1 TSP)
9. Salt to taste
Process:
Sprinkle some turmeric powder and salt on Hilsa fish and coat well.
Add oil in a pan 4 TBSP
Add Brinjal or Egg Plant diced
Sprinkle some turmeric powder and salt
Fry Brinjal or Egg Plant till golden colour
Add Potatoes
Fry Potatoes till colour change
Add salt
Add Kalo Jeerey or Black Nigella Seeds 1 TSP
Add Slit Green Chili
Add Masala mix
(Masala mix : In a Cup Add 2 TSP cumin powder, Add 1 TSP Turmeric powder, 2TSP Red chilli powder, Add ½ cup water and mix it )
Mix it nicely
Add one cup of water
Add salt to taste
Add Fried Potatoes
Mix it nicely
Add 1 glass of water
Cover with the Lid for 5 mints
Add marinated Fish (without Fry)
Add Fried Brinjal or Egg Plant
Mix it carefully
Add one green chilli
If required add hot water
Cook for 5 mints.
